The APL piston accumulators are new extremely durable series of accumulators by Hydro Leduc. The APL accumulators are used mainly for energy storage in hydraulic systems. They are distinguished by the ability to work in any position.
Nominal capacity: from 0.5 through 4 dm3; maximum allowable operating pressure: 250 bar
The APL accumulators have a cylindrical construction with an internal piston. A body of accumulator are designed with a high mechanical resistance forged steel body. Due to piston design, these accumulators are more durable than bladder and diaphragm accumulators. A set of seals ensures effective separation of gas and fluid and provides easy adaptation for different fluids and working temperatures.
In view of piston design of APL accumulators, they can be used in various applications almost without limit except to reach maximum pressure. It means these accumulators can be applied indynamic, slow and static work conditions. Moreover, they can be mounted in any positions.
Features:
- Capacity: 0.5 – 4 dm3;
- Maximum allowable operating pressure: 250 bar;
- Charging: with charging screw or charging valve;
- Operating temperature range: from -20 to +80°C (standard);
- Mineral-based hydraulic fluids (standard).
Advantages:
- High durability at high volumetric ratios;
- Possibility of total and rapid discharge of fluid;
- Assembly in any position;
- Minimal gas loss during use;
- Easy adaptation for high temperatures (+120°C);
- Easy adaptation for non-standard fluids.
Vesrions and accesories
The APL accumulators are available with M28x1.5 charging screw and with G 3/4″ hydraulic connection (standard version). Also, the version with P1620 charging valve is available. The hydraulic side can be with SAE 1 1/16″-12UNF-2B connection. Additional accesories include adjustable and fixed clamps made of zinc-plated steel and stainless steel.
Safety
Hydropneumatic accumulators are gas pressure vessles and therefore the manufacture of such vessles must conform to CE directive 97/23/CE (replaced by 2014/68/EU). Farther, accumulators of less than 1 litre capacity cannot be stamped CE, but hydroaccumulators made by Hydro Leduc are supplied with manufacturer’s certificate and conform to the CE directive. Accumulators of 1 litre capacity ore more are supplied with CE certificate; they bear the CE stamp and the reference of the official organisation certifying their conformity. According to applications, additional technical inspection UDT (Office of Technical Inspection) or TDT (Transportowy Dozor Techniczny) is required in Poland.
